Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups (165g) Oreo baking crumbs
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 pint (450-500ml) of vanilla ice cream
  • ¼ cup hot fudge sauce
  • ¼ cup caramel sauce
  • ½ cup (10 mini candy bars) Daim, coarsely chopped

Instructions

  1. Stir the Oreo baking crumbs with the melted butter.
  2. Pour the mixture into a 9 inch round tart pan with a removable bottom.
  3. Use the bottom of a ¼ measuring cup to press the crust into the bottom of the pan evenly.
  4. Place the tart pan in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  5. Take the pint of vanilla ice cream out of the freezer a few minutes before the tart pan.  This way the ice cream will soften a bit, making it easier to spread.
  6. Remove the tart pan from the freezer.
  7. Scoop the ice cream onto the crust.
  8. Use a small offset spatula to spread the ice cream evenly over the crust.
  9. Return the tart pan to the freezer for another 10 minutes.
  10. Remove the tart pan from the freezer.
  11. Sprinkle the coarsely chopped Daim candy bars onto the ice cream.
  12. Return the tart pan to the freezer for another 10 minutes.
  13. Heat up the hot fudge sauce and caramel sauce until you reach a pourable consistency.
  14. Remove the tart pan from the freezer.
  15. Pour the hot fudge sauce and the caramel sauce over the ice cream tart.
  16. Return the tart pan to the freezer until you are ready to serve it.
